Do we have a 'Soloist' around us?

I am serious about keeping my promise about being most committed to my blog. So i am back to writing about another film, one that has left a deep impact on me. I reached home a tad bit early and didn't want to surround myself with electronic signals about ongoing current affairs. So I picked the film that had the most soothing cover. The Dvd of 'The Soloist' with a half face of Robert Downey Jr starring back serenely did the trick. And I didn't regret it one bit. The film chronicles a lonely LA Times writer's real story. On the lookout for a story, Mr Lopez (Robert Downey Jr) accidentally meets up with a mumbling violinist under a statue of Beethoven but senses that there is more to this man than meets the eye. Some investigations later, he discovers Jamie Foxx, playing Natheniel Ayers, is a prodigy who suffers from schizophrenia. Its been a while since I last wrote. And you would be right to not count on you to read this post. But I am still hoping that you will. I have been travelling. Some of it has been for family, some for work and some for pleasure. I went to the cyber city of Hyderabad, spent a lot of time just wondering why on earth is it so unachievable for Mumbai to get that quality of life for it's citizens. Broad streets, wide pathways, some parts of it being very clean. That grouse, as obvious, hasn't been answered. Then I flew out for a quick break to Pondicherry. Oh what a priceless hamlet! Kudos to the people who live there. How I wish the rest of India would do that too. And then, I flew out to London for a work trip for the film Sherlock Holmes. While the city's biting cold made me re think the extended two day holiday initially, a stay in the Queen's country is something I will exchange for a thousand other places.
